Just Bought 2000 Gs300 - Quite A Machine!

He all! I am new to the board. Yesterday, I bought a 2000 GS300 in almost perfect condition. It is quite a machine. It has 112k miles already but from what I have read, that is not too many for a car like this.

I cannot believe how well built it is!

Where do I start with some cheap mods?

Congrats There aren't "cheap" mods. What kind of mods are you looking to do ? Cosmetic, Powertrain etc...

Congrats! I just purchased a 2000 GS400 with 65K miles...nice machine. A little older than I wanted, but they last forever and has everything I want.

I guess all I want to do right now is install a K&N air filter. Anyone know the part number?

Also, I need a new key. I hear they are pretty expen$ive. Who sells 'em cheap (if that is possible)?

Congrats! Bought my GS430 with 190k and it now has over 200k and still runs strong! Don't know if anything was replaced or not. The high milage didn't scare me because (1) my bro is a mechanic and (2)the car ran like new.

K&N 33-2170 ($52 @ Amazon) should work for your GS. As for the key I would start with ebay.
