Manolo Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 Ok I bought this Sc400 a couple of months ago, and I noticed that on some of the car windows (mostly the right and rear windows) there are some marks that look like dried water beads, and im thinking that the original owner letf it in the rain a lot and didnt clean it...so im trying to figure out what I can use to remove these damn clear spots that look like waterbeads on my windows, and help please........thanks.....
SW03ES Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 They're probably dried water spots like you said. Have you tried a good glass cleaner. You can also try a mixture of vinegar and water. Or even toothpaste in a pinch to polish it out.
SKperformance Posted August 21, 2003 Posted August 21, 2003 are they raised on the glass or just an outline might be tree sap spray nine on a cloth will remove almost anything
amanda Posted August 27, 2003 Posted August 27, 2003 hey, this reminds me that the back of my backwindow has that sticky stuff from the temp tag. i would just use mineral oil to remove it but how delicate is that anti-fog thingmajig?
bbsal Posted August 27, 2003 Posted August 27, 2003 you can use basiclly whatever you want to take it off.it wont hurt the defogger. ;)
SW03ES Posted August 27, 2003 Posted August 27, 2003 Just dont use a tool like a putty knife or a razor blade because that can damage the defogger.
bbsal Posted August 28, 2003 Posted August 28, 2003 Just dont use a tool like a putty knife or a razor blade because that can damage the defogger. this is true!lol.i can see someone doing that too! :D
SW03ES Posted August 29, 2003 Posted August 29, 2003 Thats why they make stuff like "defogger in a bottle" LOL. Its like touchup paint that you can reconnect the circuit in the defogger.
bbsal Posted August 31, 2003 Posted August 31, 2003 lol!! just imagine how messed up that would look! i can picture curved lines all over the window! :D
