Sexi Lexi
Hey guys, I purchased Stillen front and rear sway bars for my 02 Is300 about 1-1.5 years ago. Just recently I noticed some poor handling and noticed the rear sway bar is broken. The car had not been crashed or driven in any way to cause undue stress to the suspension. Has anyone had this problem or heard of it happening. I called Stillen and they said "too bad" and that I needed to contact whomever I purchased it from. They stated that they do not make that part anymore. The problem is I can not find my record of purchase and can not find any sites that I may have purchased it from. I did buy them new and install them myself. Any thoughts or suggestions. Thanks
bartkat
Sounds like you're pretty much stuck. I'd try and find another brand with similar diameter, install it and forget about Stillen.
Sexi Lexi
I figured I would get hosed. Thanks for the reply. I can't seem to find another 21mm rear bar. You think a 19mm could be made as stiff even if it is smaller dia.?
bartkat
I think the rear size depends on what you have in the front. Might have to change both to get a good setup. Hotchkis has 32mm front and 19mm rear. http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/suspens...&perfCode=S
Sexi Lexi
I measured the front (stillen) is 30 mm. So that may be a better setup anyway. I may have to scoop that up. Have you read or heard any reviews about the Hotchkis setup (good, great, not so good????)?

Sexi Lexi
Do you know the stiffness increase over stock of the Daizen ones? The Hotchkis ones are 61% front and 227% rear increase.
bartkat
I think there's a complete test of different sway bars on tirerack. Some of the guys on my.is like them. http://my.is/store/customer/product.php?pr...t=22&page=
Sexi Lexi
Thank you!!! I think I like the Hotchkis ones. Even my stillen ones with 61%f and 121% r, the rear felt still not stiff enough.
bartkat
I haven't personally tried them, but I think you'll like the Hotchkis. :D
