Cigarette Burn Upholstery Top

Hi All,

Could you please advise onhow to repair/fix the cigarette burn in top interior upholstery?

Which repair kits will you suggest to work with?

Not much you can do except replace the entire headliner unfortunately. Headliners are really tricky peices of upholstery and they can't really be patched. I'd learn to live with it, because a headliner on a GX470 probably costs in the neighborhood of $5,000.

Sorry for the late post, but I'm curious why a headliner would cost $5K. That is mindblowing. Were you just kidding or is there an elaborate process to replacing the headliner?

Lexus quote- $1350.00 for the headliner w/sunroof and no rear audio, And $400 for the install.

I find that hard to believe. I found the headliner wholesale for $1400, dealers typically markup from wholesale 75-500%, plus 4 hours labor. I don't see how you'd get out from it for less than $3-4k.
