NeiLtYmE Posted August 19, 2003 Posted August 19, 2003 leather is leather .. so i will ask this as all of us have leather , some of you may be able to help i just brought a desk chair... its leather .. and im about to take it to the dorms with me as the school year starts... but it smells like leather.... DUHHH no seriously ... it reeks the whole damn room of leather .... any ideas ?
SW03ES Posted August 19, 2003 Posted August 19, 2003 Leather isn't leather, there's lots of different kinds ;) But to your question, the leather smell comes from vapor that sort of evaporates from the surface of the chair. Its sort of like new car smell. It will go away in time. The cheaper the leather, the faster it will go away.
