socalgs4 Posted August 19, 2003 Posted August 19, 2003 hello my friends- because most of you are pretty knowlegeable when it comes to engine maintenance, i would like to ask some questions in that regard. how often should spark plugs get replaced on a 2000 GS400? and is there a more robust after market spark plugs that i should consider? thanks in advance socalgs4
dcfish Posted August 25, 2003 Posted August 25, 2003 change the plugs every 60,000 even if they are iridium plugs , and i would advise replacing with nippon denso only there isn't a better plug :D :D :D
bbsal Posted August 25, 2003 Posted August 25, 2003 at least every 50 to 60,000 miles.platnium bosh isnt that bad either.
TRIMENT Posted August 30, 2003 Posted August 30, 2003 I specially like the Bosch platinum +4 , but iridium is also good. I've heard that 100k is possible with these, as long as you use a fuel additive to keep plugs carbon free. I use Amsoil PI gas additive PI stands for performance improver, it makes a difference even in extra MPG's. :)
