lambobaby1218 Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 So I took my car in for the 30k service, complained about the dash AGAIN. They did put in insulation, so there is a fix. The dash DOESN'T :o creak any longer!!! However, now I can't open my passenger windows from my door, lol. I just called the tech guy at my dealer, and he said he could walk me through it, that it sounds like it just needs to be reset. So just wanted to let everyone know out there, if you have the infamous creaking, take it in, and it should be fixed. It is considered a "campaign" through Lexus. Oh, but the occasional popping still happens. Guess I can live with that........

lambobaby1218 Posted December 26, 2006 Author Posted December 26, 2006 I will try that, thanks. -------------- So I had to finally go out to the parking structure where my car is, to try this out. It worked. So why couldn't the tech guy tell me this over the phone w/out my car in front of me?? It was pretty darn simple. He seemed to think I needed the car in front of me, and to walk me through it. Okay. Yes, I'm female. Yes, I'm blonde. But I'm not dumb. Thanks, Bartkat, for the help! Once again, I appreciate it!

I reckon some techs don't think us ordinary people can understand anything about cars.
is_in_red Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 That's covered in the owner's manual. You can also find instruction on the operation of the door locks and a couple (but not all) of the other "preference" items you were asked about prior to delivery.
