I heard on the news this morning about the newest safest cars. I was wondering about IS, if the National Crash Testing and Highway Safety company has posted anything for the 2007 IS. Still, nothing.

Anybody know how safe the IS would be?? I believe with all those airbags, it has to be safe, but can't find any reportings on it.

The IS models are rated "acceptable".

Note that these surveys focus on passive safety. Nothing like avoiding an accident in the first place, with a car that handles and brakes well.

I think the VDIM makes it even safer than cars without stability control.

Yeah, I couldn't find that part. I guess if I'd just searched further.....

That's what I kinda figured, that the back part didn't make it acceptable for them. Looks good to me!! I now refuse to have anybody in my back seat, since it's so small, and people just scuff their shoes on the door panel on the way out.........
