There is a rocker switch marked ect power. Turn the switch off to turn off ect. The light will go out. It's just a electronic device that makes your throttle a little more sensitive and the trans shifts a little crisper for better performance.

ECT=Elctronic Controlled Transmission

Power = power mode.
