Gebo
What are those 2 black "straws" sticking out the front of the engine on my '01 IS? They are smaller in diameter than an ordinary pencil and about 4 inches long. (Okay, hold your tongue ;) ) They are just sticking out there. Opened on the end. bartkat
They're hose fittings that would be used in a turbo application or otherwise if a vaccuum source is needed. On the stock engine they don't do anything. They're just there. Everybody has them.
bartkat
The tube runs all the way across, right to left, so if you want to run a vaccuum line across the engine you just hook up on one end and then to the other.
