donald3
the light went on when I changed the oil - how do I get rid of it?
tansupplyman
Try disconnecting the battery for about 15 sec. That may work. Advise
Rich Sweitzer
If it were my car I would want to know why the engine light came on before I reset the engine ECU. That's not normal after an oil change.
VBdenny
Did you check your dipstick to make sure the oil level is correct. The 4.0 engine uses 5 and 2/3 qts of oil. If the level is low or high that might cause it to come on. I agree that it is not normal for it to come on after an oil change

VBdenny
I have to agree that's it's probably just a coincidence. This goes against my grain because I don't believ in them. You may have to go get a code check to see what is going on. I'll try to look up some info and post it later. Going to the junkyard in a little while
