Blackdc2
I think I blew out one of my hid ballast's, while washing the car. I have a set of IS hid's retrofited in a teg of mine. I just can't figure out a part number to get a new one. I am guessing early years of the IS. My 04' IS has little ballasts mounted on the shock towers. Can anybody get me a part number or have a used one that they will sell me?? I at least just need to figure out the year. The guys in the Lexus parts department don't want to help me at all. BTW, THANKS FOR HAVING ME ON YOUR FORUM!!

bartkat
NOBODY??? It doesn't look like anything I've seen on an IS.
Blackdc2
So your retro kit on a teg is blown from an unkown year IS? Yes, but I do believe it is an early year IS. I was hoping someone with an IS would look under thier hood and see if it looks the same. My other works fine and the bulb from this one works in the other ballast, so it has to be the ballast. AiTriva
Have you tried searching on ebay for it? Only IS300 HID ballasts I can pull up don't look like what you show in the pic. http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?c...&category0=

It has the shielded output cable that's hardwired to the box.

Blackdc2
That is a German styled Phillips ballast with an external ignitor. Mine is, or there's is? I guess I could use any of them though. Does anyone have a USED one for a decent price?

Blackdc2
www.hidplanet.com thanks. I had never seen them before. They want almost $300 for a pair of ballast's. I only need one and a USED one at that. Plus I don't know if I use two different kinds of ballasts if the light will look the same.
