Thi Posted August 11, 2003 Posted August 11, 2003 There were a few small white/cloudy spots on the clear instrument panel in my car. I used water but I could not clean them out; so I used some Windex, but it's getting worse. They look similar to water spot. Does anyone have a similar problem and how do you get rid of them? Thanks. Thi
SKperformance Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 i have them too not sure which cleaner i used to have caused it maybe a sneezed and it reacted on the plastic i can't figure it out anyway
Thi Posted August 12, 2003 Author Posted August 12, 2003 Must be a mighty sneeze B) I used some plastic polish 2000 something (in green bottle) in order to clean the spots. It helps a little. I could not get rid of them all though. Thi
gslx4s Posted August 12, 2003 Posted August 12, 2003 I had this problem as well. I used some mothers plastic polish and the matter cleared right up. Try mothers. It worked for me.
Thi Posted August 12, 2003 Author Posted August 12, 2003 I'll find and buy some of the stuff that you recommend. Thanks. Thi Update: I could not find any of the Mothers Plastic Polish yet, but I found a Meguiar's Clear Plastic Polish. I helps a lot but did not remove them completely. I'll try again and look for some Mothers stuff.
Thi Posted August 30, 2003 Author Posted August 30, 2003 Thanks gslx4s for recommending Mothers Plastic Polish. I bought some through the web. All I can say is that the stuff is amazing! I applied the product several times in order to remove the spots. The pannel looks great now. I even polished my watch afterward Thi
