zmanfrnk
Recently drove my 2005 Rx 330 in 4th gear for about 900 miles on interstate(65-75 mph). Did I do any damage to car other than reduction in gas mileage? Thanks.
Benjamin Tang
check your trans fluid and see if it's still okay.
Booyah
Nah, you are fine, just reduced gas mileage as you stated. Driviing in 4th at that low speed 65-73 and the engine it so quite its hard to tell huh....
Rx330driver
just wondering, why were you in forth gear?
zmanfrnk
just wondering, why were you in forth gear? After backing out of garage I shifted into 4th rather than "D". No reason, just screwed up.
Karl K
just wondering, why were you in forth gear? After backing out of garage I shifted into 4th rather than "D". No reason, just screwed up. You must have stopped for gas at least once. Did you screw up again after you gased up?
COZ
You did absolutely no damage. All you did was prevent the car from going into overdrive. The car will shift normally through all gears except 5th (overdrive). The only thing you did was burn more gas.
Kutten
You must have stopped for gas at least once. Did you screw up again after you gased up? Have you not stopped for gas within that 900 miles? I guess you have burned lots of gas, that's all.
