LexKid630
When i purchased my rx300 CPO last year, there were some scratches on the driver's side rear passenger window. Turned out that the dealer made them with a razor blade taking the sticker off the inside of the wondow! The bad thing was that i bought this car from a dealer in MA & i live in Rhode Island. It's a real B***H to get there, especially when i can just go to my local dealer 20 mins away. I took the car to my local dealer near me & was told i NEEDED to take it to the dealer i bought it from to get it fixed. Apparently it's not a warranty issue, it was the dealer who damaged the window, therefore THEY needed to fix it. So i took the car ALL the way back to IRA to get the glass replaced. (Don't forget that the glass wasn't even OEM...). Well the other day (more than a year later) i noticed that when i roll down THAT window, it makes a very irritating squeaking noise. I tried it every day since & it's still making the darn noise. I can't live with this... Whenever i roll down the windows i feel like i'm in a POS car. Well, what do i do? I mean, i can't really "prove" that the dealer caused this noise. But come on, it just so happened to be the wondow they replaced! The biggest burden i have is that i don't want to have to take it all the way back to the dealer i got it from. I want to just take it to my locar dealer! Is there a way i can have my local dealer do the work? Thanks for your suggestions!
Rx330driver
maybe it just needs to be oiled...or the motor. Try going to your dealer, 20 minute away, and just tell them its squeaking, dont mention the whole window dilemna and see what they say. If its a simple grease job, then so be it.
