dfkd
This is the original auction Pics are at the bottom of the page. I am referring to the HUD. I believe that I've seen it available on some other car (a Caddy maybe) but i'm not sure if it was an option on a Lex.
SKperformance
it helps if the title explains what the thread is about.
blake918
I'm sure he is talking about the HUD or the digital cluster, and I've never seen either on a Lexus.
SW03ES
Nope, and you won't. Research has shown that HUDs in cars cause serious distraction problems.
blake918
The closest thing to a HUD (well, a traditional one like in your pictures.) in a Lexus was the night vision that they offered in the LX470.

You'd think that having your speed where you dont have to look down would help. I'll see if i can read more on that.

HUD's came from fighter jet technology, do you think they are distracting the pilots? There are several cars that offer heads up display including the Corvette. Not distracting at all. Rx330driver
well bmw has made it popular with the RPM meter on it as well. I dont think its necessary...and i dont think its a distraction especially cause its just like looking a little lower onto your speedo
Patric
My 02 Z06 Corvette came with a HUD and I don't find it distracting at all. You have some choice in what information it displays (I only use MPH) or you can simply turn it off.

Not only can you display different choices but also its height is adjustable. It can be placed in your full view of the road. Not distracting but helpful.
