Upolstery Work

Recommended Posts

I called some local upolstrey shops for a price to get my two front leather seats recovered(the driver's seat has a hole in it where I can see the green foam inside :( ), and just about every shop told me between $800-$900 for the 2 front seats. Are these normal/reasonable prices?

Just start calling around and ask them the condition and how much it will be to ship to you. Then you can get both seats for $400 (+ shipping should be around $60 total) All you'll have to do then is bolt them in.

Just make sure they tell you that they are in superb condition. Ask how many miles the car has that they are coming off of etc. You'll want seats out of a car w/ less than 50k miles or so to get some like new ones.

Good Luck,

Jimi

another option is going to a place that does show cars

i know it is about 1400 canadian to do a whole car interior in vinyl ,door skins and all

so it should be around 500 usd just for the front seats in leather

there are automotive upholsters

they remove the fabric and replace it with wild coloured vinyls or leathers

or just plain and simple like a nice E55 2 tone black and grey leather or suede headliners like in a cl 55

Ahh, I see; thanks :D ! I'll have to try and find some more upolsterers because one of the ones I called is the one that my local Lex dealer sends out the cars for upolstery work-maybe that's why they are so expensive.
