I just bought 15K PURE WHITE LEDS for my cluster and wanted to know if its possible to solder the LEDS directly to the bulb sockets behind the cluster. Do I need a voltmeter to find out whats positive and negative on the board.

You can refer to the post below

Instead of soldering LED to instrument panel, you can buy these 8 bulbs from Ebay and install it without soldering it. If you look carefully - these bulbs have resistor inside so you do not need to find and sold a resistor inaddition to LED, it is a simple replacement. In order to install them you need to identify polarity which will be trial and error. When I installed these bulbs there was no way I could identify negative & positive as it is not marked and there are three circuit boards in whole instrument panel - so I used trial and error method.
