Brake Rotors Options?

looking to get new brakes on a 90 ls 400 but don't know which way to go? i want the ss brake lines and am going to rebuild the calipers also. but as for the rotors, i don't know if i should stick with oem or go aftermarket? i haven't yet but am going to upgrade the wheels to 20" and lower the car but the rotors come in regular, slotted, and drilled/slotted? i know form research that the drilled/slotted is mainly for looks and the slotted dissipate heat better, but the general consensus is that the oem work fine. but how about durability? does the slotted actually last longer than oem due to improved design, or is the cooling benefit mainly a racing feature? has anyone used both before and kow first hand?

thanks in advance!
