How Often Do Dealers Receive New Cars?

Recommended Posts

Just put a deposit for a new is350, but they're not giving me any time estimates. in the west coast / california how often do dealers get new cars? does anyone know? so that i can get a date. I'm guessing that their estimates of no Mark Levinson until June is accurate aye? Also if you live in nevada, is there no tax on cars?

Delivery is going to depend on what you specified for your car and then when one like that is built and is available to your dealer. Sometimes dealers will look for a car to your specs that's already in the district and get it for you.

When you order a car though Lexus, they just don't build the car for you. They get dibs on a car like you want, and then when it's there, it's there.

If you're thinking of avoiding tax by getting a car from out of state, that won't work because you'll have to pay the tax when you register the car in your home state.

Why do i have to register it in my state? How come I can't just keep it with the plates from the no tax state? Like if we have a home there also.

Whichever is your state of residence, that's where you pay the taxes. I don't make laws, that's just the way it is. Don't believe me, ask the DMV.

That is correct, when you go to register it they will charge you sales tax. If you have a home in oregon where there is no sales tax and register it there, then there is no sales tax. Then the issue comes to insurance fraud. You have to let the insurance company know where it will be garaged. Just pay the sales tax!

The car depending on how you ordered it, shoudl be there within the 6mos mark at the latest...should only take a few months though, as long as you didn't order some strange combination.
