I would like to suggest that any members registered at www.lexus.com go to the website and download for free the manual for there car and upload to there respective forums. We could get every manual stuck to the top of there respective forum and it would eliminate quite a few unnecesary posts and streamline these boards. I know that it may take a little time/effort on the part of willing members but the payoff is well worth it. I really think this would be very helpful to all of us. Just navigate to http://www.lexus.com/ Click on :Owners" then :Register Today" After you are signed in click on "My Car" Then "Owners Manual" Scroll down and you will see the .pdf files for the manual of your car. click and save a copy to your harddrive then upload to the respective forum. Topic title should include the year and model[ Similar to the one I posted ].

I would post all the manuals but you can only access the manual for the car that is registered, That is why I need the club members help, This will be very nice when completed.

It's a good idea. Most forums have their respective manuals stickied.

Zip all the files into one large download. Most of Toyota's repair manuals come out to around 100-110mb. The pdf's are interlinked, so you can click & navigate between them.

If Toyota's repair manuals are so large it is because they were scanned instead of saved as PDF files from the original layout application in which they were created. I just downloaded the 1999 GS300 Owners Manuals from Lexus.com and used Acrobat Professional to combine them into a single file. Without even optimizing the file, it was only 3 mb. You can tell that these pages were generated directly from the (now legacy) layout documents, probably originally done in QuarkXPress. Lexus did this properly! Generating PDFs from the origin documents (as opposed to scanning the pages of a manual) means a better looking, smaller, and SEARCHABLE document. (I am a graphic designer, so I know wherof I speak).

Anyway, I will have the 1999 GS300 manual for this site to download, I just need to know how to post it. The NAV stuff will be separate, as will the quick reference guide.

I have been searching for days now to find a repair manual for my 2000 Lexus GS400 vehicle. I noticed your manual on this website, but when I click on it, it tells me I can't download it. I have Adobe 8.0.

What do I need to do to get this manual.

This is not a repair manual, It is an Owners Manual. Check out alldata.com. It is worth the $ for all the info you can download.
