rx300scott Posted November 29, 2005 Share Posted November 29, 2005 I have an 02 RX300. The moonroof has recently begun to chatter when going from the tilted open position back to closed. It works fine going from closed to tilted open, and works fine sliding horizontally. I've tried lubricating the tracks and arms with silicone spray, but the problem persists. COZ Posted November 30, 2005 Share Posted November 30, 2005 I don't think the silicone is the correct lube for the sunroof. Its way to thin. I looked my manual for the correct grease but I couldn't find it. I'd call the Lexus dealer and ask. What ever you do don't use Lithium grease, it will get hard and gum up.
