dema Posted September 4, 2002 Posted September 4, 2002 THis forum looks like dead. Could somebody point me to a forum where I can discuss my ES300. Or Lexus is so problem free car so no discussion requied. ANyway, my question is how to switch display of temperatures from F to C?
SKperformance Posted March 3, 2003 Posted March 3, 2003 as far as i know you can't change it as there is a US f version and canadian C just like the mile and km dash
SKperformance Posted March 4, 2003 Posted March 4, 2003 hmm so there have been cards to make that switch? not totally different parts?
zeta Posted March 4, 2003 Posted March 4, 2003 i think it has somethin to work with the car's internal computer... i think it can be changed the same way items like 'auto-lock, internal lights, headlight shut off timing, etc.' the dealer can change these things pretty easily. but it requires items normal consumers can't get their hands on.
SKperformance Posted March 4, 2003 Posted March 4, 2003 ohhh i know what you are talking about but that wa introduced for the 97 and up models like the then new es and gs where you could make it stop chirping and open all the windows from the fob but i didn't know that there is anything to change that next time i go around there i am going to ask the guys in back
SW03ES Posted March 4, 2003 Posted March 4, 2003 Do, because on a lot of cars there are little tricks to change readouts when there isn't a switch. You may have to hit a combination of buttons or something. Think of it this way, it wouldn't serve Lexus financially to make two readouts when they could make one that would switch back and forth.
zeta Posted March 5, 2003 Posted March 5, 2003 i'm sure most every car with so many power items would have to have some sort of code to alter these items.
