gnelson
well it seems to be coming from the back of the car. the front doesnt shake. ← Mine does the same. It feels like the back tires are really out of balance but it goes away when you speed up. I have no idea... Gary
Wicked_Lex
Could be loose tranny or differential mounts or some other problem with the drive train. Have someone put it up on a lift and inspect the drive train.

gnelson
Has anyone else had this strange problem? Any fixes?
nc211
I'm dealing with this exact issue on my 95 LS400. Last diagnosis was "most likely damaged tires". Mine has been to 2 shops, one specifically specializes in older, high mileage Lexus and Toyotas. They checked it out, checked the drive train and so forth. The only thing they could come up with was the tires. No run-out spotted on the axles, rotors or rims. It's been balanced and aligned several times, which only produces a short term fix. I've got Michelin energy tires with about 4/32 of tread left. You'll see in my signature that I've replaced just about every other possible part that could be related to the problem, except for the tires. chuckb
could be bad alignment, bent rim or out of round tire
chris6878
I found out that my tire was messed up. My back tire was terrible. You could see the metal inside of my tire. Once i replaced them no problems.
