  1. Im having the same issue with my isf 08. touch screen no response. dealer refuses to warranty fix http://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-f/710064-the-jm-lexus-fu-k-over-thread.html dcfish what is your fix?
  2. I have 20 inch chrome rims. I have had the problem way before I even put the rims on it, so I doubt it is the rims.
  3. Toyota replaced mine after they messed up my timing belt with a engine with 30k on it. I had 85k at the time. It has been a year now and so far I have had no problems.
  4. what is the cost, sounds awesome, got any pics Its already out in japan
  5. I would never take my car to toyota ever again! No matter how much cheaper. I wont even let them do an oil change on my baby. Good Luck
  6. Well got my car fixed, My mechanic fixed it yesterday and said my coils were fine, the connectors to the coils were corroded. So he replaced them and also replacedall of my spark plugs with platinum ones, and changed the oil, reset the cpu and throttle body for 360 bucks. Alot cheaper than the 650 toyota was charging. Toyota told me i needed my coils changed cause they were old . That was a lie, they also said they took the old ones off of my engine and put them on the new one, that was a lie. My mechanic said they never even looked at it nor did theytake anything from my old engine. I think they were trying to recoup some of the money they spent buying my engine and installing it. Damn I want to go back and kick somebodies a$$. Stay away from toyota!
  7. i called toyota coporate customer service and they transferred me to lexus. Lexus's customer sevice manager called me back and said that lexus doesnt want to take on toyota's problems and transferred me back to toyota. Toyota then gave me a case number and told me that i need to contact Tom Hollis at toyota again. I also check the carfax report on the engine that they gave me, They lied and said it had 18000 miles but the carfax says it has 21,111 miles on it. I have sent a complaint to the better business buearu, and the Florida dept of agriculture and consumer services. They said it would take 3-4 days for it to get into there system. I cant go that long without a car, So will have my personal mechanic do the repair, and he will also check to see if there is anymore Negligence on toyota's part. He used to work for toyota and he has done all of my previous work. I am then going to contact a lawyer to see if i have a case and wait for the bbb and fla dept to contact me. Im not taking it back to toyota cause they might *BLEEP* something else up and try to makre me pay for it.
  8. Ok i told yall about how they changed the timing belt, and blew up my engine. The replaced it with a used engine Now this last week my car has been stalling when i try to accelerate, SO i make an appointment for yesterday 5/15/06. On my way there my engine light comes on and i can drive only 60 mph. I get the car there they give me a loner and i leave. I call them at afternoon and the service manager gets on the phone. He tells me that i need new coils and plugs and that it is leaving a carbon trail, WTF! HE says they cleaned it off but i will have to replace that stuff at a cost of $650. HE says the car is fine now but he doesnt know how long it will last. I pick up the car that evening before they closed and 10 minutes after i leave it starts doing it again and it also shakes and shivers when i am at a stop. I have called coporate customer service for toyota and they transferred me to lexus customer service. They are now looking into my case. They have until 2pm to come to a decision then i am contacing a lawyer, the news station, better business bureau or whoever!
  9. IF they have problem fixing lexus (which majority of the parts have toyota on it) THen why do they take your money. They should have a sign saying toyota's only!
  10. Same exact thing happened to me! Check the links http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...topic=28703&hl= http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...topic=28907&hl=

  12. runs good, very quiet. I think ill be ok also. Now i need to concentrate on gettings those gas struts changed.
  13. Well, You did gain 67k, What warranty did they provide ? I don't think one could tell by the seat of his/her pants. I wouldn't be too concerned about how the engine was treated prior to the install, Most likely cared for at a dealer. Did you get the history of the transplant ? they gave me a 6month warranty. Did they use all of your original exterior engine parts 9 alternator, intake and the like ? Did they just replace the block and head ? That i dont know. I know they changed the timing belt and oil, oil filter, gasket, and exhaust pipe

  15. Same basic motor, Just some design differences to fit in the IS's engine bay. Don't quote me on this but I think the gs 3.0 l6 is rated @220 hp and the is is rated @215 hp. Yea edmunds said the 03 IS is rated at 218. Should i be happy or sad. I went from 85,000 to 18,000
  16. Got my car back after they destroyed my old one. 03 with 18,000 miles. I get home to check the vin and it says it came from a 03 IS 300!. IS that the same engine or should i be *BLEEP*ed?

  18. I have 20's on mine and the only problem i have is cutting the wheel when backing out. if i turn it to much i hear rubbing but that is it
  19. I called toyota customer service. I told them what happened and that i want a longet warranty on the engine. So we will see what happens.
  20. Well i had 83,000 on my car. I called toyota to find out about the motor, They said they will have the vin number by wednesday so i can get a carfax report. They more than likely the car it is coming from was a wreck. The warranty on it will be 6 months, Iasked them to put a new timing belt , do oil change, and a compression check . They said they would do that. I am wondering if i should go get a lawyer or not?
  21. Well first, how many miles does your GS have? And if he doesn't accept a used motor, then what do you expect the dealer to do? Rebuild his motor? I work at a Toyota Dealership, and that does suck that after they touched it last, it blew. And if they are willing to put a motor in your 6 year old car, that only has 18,000 miles on it, then I think that is a pretty good deal. It's not like they are going to put the motor in your car and send you down the road with a pat on your back saying "Good luck". Just how they are warranting the work they did on the belts, they will warranty this. Well i had 83,000 on my last motor. I know that if this motor blows i will be right back at toyota with my lawyer. I dont know if i should demand a new motor or take this one. It does only have 18000 and i know they will warranty it. I will get my receipts from them. What should i do take this or demand a new one?
  22. Sat i took my car to toyota to get the timing belt and sepentine belt replaced. Total was $370. 2days later As i was driving to work My timing belt broke. Hard the car towed to toyota, sat there for an hour they told me that a bolt on the tensioner came off and that they would fix it. THey gave me a loner camry and said they would call in a hour. 4 hours later they call and said they have good and bad news. The bad is when the bolt came off it threw the timing belt off, which broke all the rods in the engine. The good is they are getting me a another engine with 18,000 miles on it. Should i be weary or happy?
