Tommisc Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Ok I hooked up some PILOT fog lights to my 1992 SC 300. When I have them on I smell something burning but then after a few days it's gone, but my side markers, parking lights, and fog lights are no longer working. I checked the fuses and they all seemed fine. My head lights, taillights, and brake lights are all working. Some one please help me. Does anyone have the same problem or a fuse diagram to the one on the driver side panel? I would greatly appreciate the help.

Best to take it to toyota if you checked the fuses and everything appears to be fine. How did you wire the fog lights in?
SKperformance Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 What did you use to hook up the power -12 and +12 and the remote turn on? Where and what wires were they from?

SKperformance Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 where exactly did you tap the wires for the fogs AT ? If i am reading this right ,you wired a 110 watt set of lights to a 15 amp set of wiring ? If so ,no wonder it doesn;t work any more. I would check your relays.

O and I forgot to mention ,,,all i did was converter the lower turn signals to fog lights that would be on all the time,,but im not sure waht the power rating is on those.. I will check relays,,,are they in the fuse box under the hood???
Tommisc Posted September 19, 2005 Author Posted September 19, 2005 ok I connected my fog lights right behind where the parking lights are. Then it worked fine for a few days, but after the few days the sidemarkers, parking and fog lights goes out. Although, the headlights and all my rear lights are normally functioning. I think I could have damamged something or a fuse is out. So I checked all my fuses and the light bulbs, but everything seems fine. However I haven't check the relay because I can't locate it. Can someone tell me where to find it?
SKperformance Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 SHould be under the hood in the fuse block area , read the descriptions of each one in there.

SKperformance Posted September 25, 2005 Posted September 25, 2005 Check the relays in the cabin fuse block are then. Listen for where the headlight relay is and it should be right by it. Just keep turning the lights on/off to trace the clicking.

SKperformance Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 If you want to be adventureous i would go to lexus and buy the schematic book and trace back where the wring is and goes .it is about 30 and is well worth it when you get these wiring troubleshooting issues.
GRAND_LS 4 Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 Not sure about the SC, but in my LS, the interior cabin fuses housed one for the parking, lights etc. It should be marked for "TAIL LAMPS".
