SKperformance
are you talking about the wires leaving the lexus amp or the radio ?
su24
The radio... those are the wires that I need to deal with.... right? All I'm doing is hooking up a sub amp in the trunk... need the remote turn on and RCA hook up.
es3doubleO
The factory radio does not have any rca outputs or remote wires. What you have to do is buy a speaker to rca converter and it will tap into you speaker wires, what that does it will convert your speaker wires into a rca output. I connect mine to my rear speakers to connect my amp for my subs. As for the remote wire i wasn't too sure where to get the 12V supply from so i ran a manual switch to the front to turn my amp off and on. su24
So your RCA converter is in your trunk with your rear speakers? not behind your radio?
es3doubleO
Correct, because its a little box that has (+) and (-) wires for both left and right speakers so all you do is tap the converter wires into you left and right rear speakers and connect your rca's to the converter and into your amp. The rear speakers are the easiest to tap into.
su24
Thanks, Ill do that. Now about that remote wire... you tapped into the battery wire and ran it to the switch? Then ran the remote wire from the switch to the amp?
