Seafoam & Transtune

I've been having the sporadic rough shifting lately and wanted to use the SeaFoam and Trans Tune products.

If I'm thinking correctly, SeaFoam can treat the oil and gas. Will it treat the oil as effectively if I'm not adding it with a fresh oil change?

The Trans Tune is for the transmission. Last year I had a transmission service (drain & fill) - will it be effective if I add it to the transmission fluid even if it's the fluid isn't going to be changed any time soon?

I'm sure the products come with directions, but any input on usage would be great.

Any other comments/suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I have been using Seafoam for the past year, every 3-5k miles, and it has worked wonders. Simply pour it in the gas tank. It has improved the performance of my ride and especially boosted acceleration. Not sure about the transmission products your inquiring about.

I agree it works but I am also very careful on when I add products to my tank (gas) now. They will end up in the oil and will show up in oil tests.

So that being stated I would add them BEFORE and very close to doing an oil change.
