How Much For Maf Sensor

lexus told me i got a bad MAF sensor that why the check engine light is on. i was wondering how much it cost to replace and if i can do it myself. lexus wanted $255 for part and labor.

see i figure if lexus only charge $255 then maybe the actual part and labor would be cheap and easy to do, maybe around 25 bucks. =) cuz you know them and there over price services.

I would try to clean the old MAF before buying a new one. It is a 10 minute DIY job, just need carb cleaner and a philips screwdriver. Lexus just wants to make more $ and apparently did not try cleaning first.
