camlex Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Hello, 97 ES300 with 155,000 miles, looking for tires. Original rims 15" http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/findTireD...id=007001&ar=65 http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/findTireD...id=007001&ar=65 Thanks in advance.
bartkat Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 If you don't need all season tires, then go with the second ones. You'll probably like the performance a whole lot more.
camlex Posted August 5, 2005 Author Posted August 5, 2005 Thank you. These tires are very quiet. http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/findTireD...id=007001&ar=65
SW03ES Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 Get the MXV4s they're much better suited to the ES than the Exaltos which are more for sporty sedans. I just put the MXV4s on mine and they transformed the ride, excellent tires.
Lexusfreak Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 If you haven't already purchased your tires cam, you might want to consider these: http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/findTireB...nce&rd=15&ar=65 If you have already, best of luck. B)
camlex Posted August 6, 2005 Author Posted August 6, 2005 Hello, Here is the story. When I bought this car @131,000, I put all new tires on it. I bought them from Sears. http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/findTireD...id=007001&ar=65 These tires were under a 50,000 miles warranty. Within six months I put 24,000 miles and the tires were not looking good so I requested that they replace them. They gave me $51.00 credit for each tire and charged me $122.00 for the new tires. So I went ahead and changed them. http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/findTireD...id=007001&ar=65 I asked sears for tires that you had mentioned, but they don't carry in H rated. Thanks for input, but it's too late.

Best of luck & the Triple Treads actually do come in H speed rating in your 15" size.....Sears may not have had them in stock, but they could have ordered them. ;)
SW03ES Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 The MXV4s are better suited to the car than the XGTs which are a sportier, higher performance tire. The MXV4s will last longer and be quieter.

Lexusfreak Posted August 6, 2005 Posted August 6, 2005 aren't they discontinued? ← XGT's I think you can still get......at least according to the tirerack site anyways. B) But they are getting 'long in the tooth'.
