jonw440 Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 I just received the new reformulated SFX polishes from Autopia. These polishes like to be worked! They stay wet and dont dry up. When you use them the residue that is left after polishing wipes off like butter. David Bynon really hit a home run with these polishes!!! Check out the work they did. I used the Sonus DAS pads and the PC on speed 4 or 5. New Sonus SFX polishes Here are two more before and after pictures I found. Before. After
SW03ES Posted July 31, 2005 Posted July 31, 2005 Thats excellent for the PC...I'll have to give em a try.
Matthew_McNally Posted July 31, 2005 Posted July 31, 2005 now thats impressive! what was your process Jon? Which products / pads etc?
KerryJ Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 That just pushed me off the fence!!! That looks awesome. I am definitely getting a PC now. I have the auto sharp pen coming soon, do I have to wait a couple of weeks for that paint to cure before I start the process?? I know with the dealer touch up they suggest it. Thanks Kerry
jonw440 Posted August 3, 2005 Author Posted August 3, 2005 now thats impressive!what was your process Jon? Which products / pads etc? ← Thanks for comments!! I started by washing the vehicle, and drying it. Then I used the Yellow SFX pad and the SFX-1. I also misted the pad with the sonus detail spray(so the polish soaks in the pad less). Then I just polished with the PC on speed 4 and just polished until the swirls were mostly gone.(I could have polished them completely away, but I don't like to go that far with the first product) I like to remove everything with all 3 polishes. The next step was the SFX White pad and SFX-2, same procedure. The last step is used with the blue SFX pad and SFX-3 but the speed starts at 4 and should end on 5. Thats about it. Very easy!
