Options20002001 Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 My 93 ES300 with about 100k miles failed inspection due to high HC and NOx. Emissions were higher at lower speed (~15 mph). Last year there was nothing unusual, passed inspection and I don't recall any major (or even minor) repairs in this duration. The car runs fine...no hesitation or misses. However, I do feel that the mileage has decreased in the last year. Also, just before testing, I had noticed my PS pump whining (turned out to be a leak) and had the injectors cleaned. Could this have caused a failed emissions test? What could be the culprit(s)? Any easy test? Where should I start? Thanks. Options
SKperformance Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 Are you sure you cat was heated up properly before the test?
