2006 Gs300 Aftermarket Wheels

Recommended Posts

I just bought a 2006 GS300 and want to put chromes on it. I can't decide if I should go with 19" or 20" - I don't want to make it look ghetto. Anyone out there willing to share pics of aftermarket chromes on the new body style? Thanks.

I would agree with ghetto comment - my buddy has an '06 GS with 20"s...and he's done nothing else to the car...looks ghetto in my opinion...I'd stick with 18's unless you're gonna lower the car and maybe put a body kit on it...just my opinion, which I'm sure will get bashed! =)

Ghetto???

I have a 2000 and a 2006 and I really dont care for the wheels that are on my 06 right now. I want to put a set of 20's on it but I am afraid that its going to affect the ride of the car. Is there anyone having a problem with there wheels that are that size.

I had a 2006 GS300, I ended up putting 20" aftermarket wheels on it. I was told that due to the AWD, you have to use wheels that have a high offset. I believe mine were a +35 offset. I did have an issue with rubbing in reverse with the wheel cut. I had to put additional screws in the plastic wheel wells to lessen the noise. The aftermarket wheels also ruin the soft ride of the Lexus (The reason we all buy luxury cars). I've spent tons of money on silly aftermarket wheels only to finally determine to keep everything OEM. Lexus offers nice gun smoked 19" wheels. I would consider those before any aftermarket.

I've got 19" MRR GT1 wheels on! Have a look and decide if 19's or 20's are for you!

20's aint bad at all, I think the profile fits the GS very well, I decided on 19's cause I was concerned with rubbing issues, road quality and ride! I still regret not getting 20's, but I can assure you 19 inch tires are more readily available in my market than 20 inchers! May be different where you live!

Good luck though!
