Door Lock Problem

Hi Guys,

I am new to this club. I have a 98 GS300 . I love it, But I have a problem with the front two doors lock. With the keyless remote to unlock the doors the front doors don't unlock, but back doors do. I have to unlock with the key. and on the inside the door lock switch don't lock the door. I think it may be the door lock switch or door lock actuator. ....If that the problem how can i get one and how can i put it on. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated!!!!! :)

Hi Everyone,

I have a problem similar to this. Its seems that the front door actuator is busted and takes almost 400$ to repair at the dealership. Is there a place where this can be fixed for anything cheaper?? Any suggesttions!!!

I'm doing the back-right side tight now. Dealer cost to me was $212.00 on the lock. Check Lexus Parts for the front locks. Looks like $213.00 per side. The prices on this site roughly show 20% discount from list; i.e. dealer price.

As for doing it, look at the diagrams below. You decide which steps you need to do to get the lock motor to a position where you can test it.
