LexKid630
I was just wondering why the gauge cluster needles on many of the lexus models are so strange looking. The needles on the Rx300, Rx330/400h and 02+ ES300/330's all look pretty similar. They're not just a cylinder head with thin plastic that illuminates. It's more of a..well see for yourself:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4551393401&category=6298&sspagename=WDVW It's in one of the pictures of the whole cluster. I was just wondering why they looked so different. Do they need to be this way? Thanks
91L3xus
It seems to me that they look almost as identical as the ones in some Infiniti's; my uncle has a 2002 I35 with almost the exact gauges. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...4552193538&rd=1 Scroll down and you'll see the similarities. Edit: this is probably a clearer example:
LexKid630
They do look very similar. I have no idea why they look so weird. why not just a plain look? It's not like we can see the shape unless in direct sunlight; why go through all the trouble of making them like that; it just confuses me. The LS and 97-01 es300 needles worked just fine.
