camlex
Hello, Finally, I replaced ball joints on my 97 ES300. Cost me $ 130 (includes parts)Mechanic told me you don't need to allign again. Other person mention anything you change in front, always good to do allignment. By the way new ball joint makes a differance in steering wheel control. What's your inputs? Thanks,
amf1932
I also suggest an alignment after changing any front end parts. Or at the very least, the toe in/out should be checked.
xxxavier2k
Changing the ball joints would (to my knowledge) more affect the camber of the tire. That is it should correct it. Might I ask about the symptoms that led you to changing them?
amf1932
It's true that changing ball joints will affect the caster and camber settings, but it will not affect tire wear nearly as much as incorrect toe settings. ;)
