Jeff Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 I've had an LS, SC, and RX in the past years. I'm now iterested in a GS400 and wondered if they come with different audio systems options like the LS and SC. Thanks for the knowledge.
cruznroadking Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 Mark Levinson is what they offer now. I was told that Nakamichi either was bought out or went out of business.

Different systems/brands were offered in different model years. You need to check specifically. Pioneer is the standard in all years. In the GS400 for 1998-2000 Nak was the option. In the GS430 from 2001+ Mark Levinson was the cat's meow. Lexus Model Library

I have been looking for a site just like that, a wealth of basic info of the Lexus line-up. Thanks!! :)
SW03ES Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Nakamichi is definately still in business. They do high end home audio etc. The reason Lexus uses ML now is that Nakamichi refused to let their system feed through the nav screen, meaning you couldn't have nav and nakamichi. The nak was an option on the GS300 and the GS400.
FlossinFromLongbeachToTexas Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 i have a 95 gs300 with the nakamichi sound system, let me tell you they do it right. 12" free air sub in the back dash along with ported mid range subs in the doors with tweeters on the a pillars. you can keep your navigation screen. give me that setup any day
