  1. yeah, i replaced mine in my 95 with a pioneer premier 1000w and it bangs, nak knows what they're doin.
  2. also i have this problem with my nakamichi in my 95 gs300 but i know what it is. If you have a premium sound system in your lexus and you have replaced any of the speakers with aftermarkets then they may draw too much power and overheat the factory amp. i have replaced the sub in my car with a 1000w pioneer and after about 45 minutes my stereo cuts out and i have to let the amp cool down, try either upgrading your amp or downgrading your speakers.
  3. i have a 95 gs300 with the nakamichi sound system, let me tell you they do it right. 12" free air sub in the back dash along with ported mid range subs in the doors with tweeters on the a pillars. you can keep your navigation screen. give me that setup any day
  4. i have 166,000 + miles on my gs 300 and i'm glad to hear that it will still be running strong with another 166,000 cause i just bought it used and the milage required by blue book for a price drop is 165,000, so yay for me!
