lexus400
The '92 that my friend might part out has a bad differential bearing. Can I replace the diff w/o removing the transmission ? thanks, Bob
cruznroadking
You have to remove as a unit, they are both attached together.
ArmyofOne
You have to remove as a unit, they are both attached together. ← they are bolted together, but the case doesnt make them all one unit. to get one out unfortunately you have to remove both at the same time. so to replace one, both have to be removed. SKperformance
it is internal so the tranny has to be removed to acess through the bell housing ,not just a matter of just dropping the tranny and replacing it but gutting the tranny to get to the back end. cruznroadking
I didn't say it was one unit, but that it has to be removed as a unit because they are attached.
