coxbp
New member and longtime Toyota truck owner (tundra, tacoma, landcruiser) looking at getting a CPO 2000 LX470. Any comparisons on handling, performance, towing vs. my 01 V8 4wd Tundra would be welcomed. I put the same LTX's on the Tundra as the 470 has. Reviews talk about excessive body roll in the 470, which I didn't have in the Tundra probably because it is a much lighter vehicle with stiffer suspension? Also, San Diego mileage in the Tundra was about 11mpg on average, expecting same in the 470. Thanks, Brian

Of cource the Tundra will pull better then the LX. The tundra does not have the heavy drive train like the LX. If you want towing stick with the Tundra. It is more of a work horse. coxbp
Thanks for the reply. Cleary they are different vehicles and the Tundra is more of a workhorse. That being said, how has the towing been on your LX470? I'm talking about a wakeboarding boat, less than 5,000lbs, during normal SoCal desert driving conditions and temps. My guess is that the LX470 with a full load and a boat in tow will still have adequate power, but...... Also, am I close on the 11mpg for average fuel consupmtion? Is everyone running high octane fuel? Thanks, Brian
