Wilfred Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 Hi I would like to change the 15' on my LS400 to maybe the LS430 wheels. However i don't know if they will a) Fit B) Look good So has anyone seen this done before or even better anyone got pics? Thanks in advance
ronsadvice Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 I upgraded my 90 LS to 17" take-offs from a 2004 LS and they not only look SHARP but ride very nicely. One warning, however, you will have to Modify the "housing" as the 17" tires will rub on sharp turns! Otherwise good luck to you - I just did the same and am super happy! Ron Johnson
Wilfred Posted January 23, 2005 Author Posted January 23, 2005 Do you have any pics? I would love to see Are they rubbing because of the aftermarket offset? I've been to some shops and they said its really hard to find aftermarket wheels of the same offset.
SW03ES Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 I doubt they're rubbing because of the offset, probably just because they're wider. I think the offset on the LS is the same as it was in 1990. 17 inch wheels were REALLY big in 90, like say 22s are today. Carmakers just didnt design wheel wells to take them.

SW03ES Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 No, several cars come with 20s from the factory now.
