Throttle Is Sticky

I have an 2000 RX300. Recently the throttle needs excessive force to be depressed while at rest. It seems to get worse as the car warms up. I lubed up the entire cable and throttle assemblies. It didnt do much good. Is there any way to adjust the cable? It seems kind of loose. I see a set screw on the throttle. Will this tighten up the cable. The throttle itself iseems fine, its just the resistance on the initial depression of the pedal. Any ideas?

you need a throttle body cleaning

it needs to be cleaned on the insdie of it not the outside

I agree. I had the same problem on my '97 SC300. Once I cleaned the throttle body everything was smooth again.
