jahon Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 I was wondering where the fuel filter is located in my 1993 es300. I am trying to figure out where it is so I can change it. Thanks!
vcv10guy Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 It's located on the driver side below where the transmission is. It's black in color and circular. Oh ya a few weeks ago a member was trying to remove his fuel filter on this ES, try doing a search because I think he may have posted a picture or at least provided some information on how to remove it. I just looked at it right now, it location is better described as below the brake fluid container near the ignition coil. The filter has a silver tube going into on top.
SKperformance Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 below the transmission is the sub frame and the road it is bettween the tranny and firewall under tbe brake booster
vcv10guy Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 I did not mean below the transmission. I meant it's below around the transmission. I updated my original post a moment ago.
lexus400 Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 I tried to change mine and gave up... Remove the air box and you have better access to it but it was impossible to get a wrench on the bottom fuel line and try and get the nut off the clamp holding the filter itself. One of the few things I've ever raised the white flag when working on a car... Bob
