attrabeutz Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 I have a 1996 LS 400. The outside temperture guage is reading -22F. Any ideas where I need to start to troubleshoot this? Thanks
Jacob Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 I think you should start with the ambient temperature sensor at the front bumper. It might be dirty or something. Good luck.
wwest Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 Reading -22 is a pretty sure bet that the OAT sensor connection is completely open or else the sensor (thermistor) itself is. If I remember correctly 4800 ohms is about 32F.
90LS400Lexus Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 Are you sure it is not -22 outside? Just kidding! I could not resist! :D I agree with the others - probably the sensors. Good luck!
