trafukin Posted November 19, 2004 Posted November 19, 2004 It now takes over a full second from car to swich gears, it only happens when moving from P to D, and only in the mornings when i first turn on the car. Other than that the ride continues to be smooth. any ideas? if the tranny is going to die eventually, how can i extend the life of it without having it replaced or refurbished? the car is old and not worth the $2 grand a tranny would cost me. plan to ride until it dies if i have to. tx
SKperformance Posted November 20, 2004 Posted November 20, 2004 year ? you need a tranny flush and to get your filter/mesh cleaned,. The best thing to do is to add an inline tranny filter , i did and it saved me a new tranny for $2000
