Parts -- Lexus Or Toyota

Went to a Lexus dealer to pick up a A/C filter and it came in a Toyota box.

My question is ........ if I were to go to a Toyota dealer for the same part, would there be a different part# and/or price? Anybody have any experience?

Also, can anyone provide the Lexus and Toyota part#s for

1) Oil filter

2) fuel filter

3) Air filter

Sometimes! Generally oil & air filters, that kind of stuff, probably. I've bought other things for my Lexus that came "in a toyota box" and called Toyota on it and they had no listing for it. They're a division of the same company, but the numbers mean everything. :P

Here's a hint on the A/C cabin filter. When you need one, make sure you just order the element. That is the actual filter material. It is a 10 second job to snap it in the black plastic carrier frame. It's also about 1/4 of the price of the complete filter assembly.

most dealers prices vary wether from a lexus or toyota parts department

they usually have the same part numbers unlkie gm which makes the same part with tons of different #'s and prices according to the car

Used to be that there would be the same part numbers, recently Lexus changed their numbers so that may not be true now...
