Can't Open Rear Cargo Door

Help. I can not open my rear cargo door. No manner how many times I lock and unlock using both the remote control or the interior door locks, I can't open the door. What to do? I am on a trip and it is a pain to load and unload through passenger doors. I am far from a Lexus dealer this week.

I just called my dealership. The service rep has heard of your problem before. Unfortunately, it's a "hanging" actuator in the door mechanism and has to be taken care of by a Lexus dealer. Sorry that there's no easier fix.

I had the same problem. They had to replace the latch at the dealer. It only took them about half an hour.

I had similar problems on my new GX. You have to take the vehicle to the dealership and have them put a new lock mechanism on it. They told me it was the second wone they received ina week. Have had no problems since.
