Driving Light Bulb Replacement

Recommended Posts

I have 97 SC400. I want to replace the driving or fog ligts with blue halogen. I can not figure out how to get to bulbs. I can reach the passenger side and I get the socket out but there is no bulb, only wired going into the light fixture. The drivers side is obstructed with some tubing. I removed the splash pan under the car but still could not see how to replace the bulbs. Help!!

wilhunt, The bulb is being held in place by a metal clasp. But *DO NOT OPEN THE CLASP, This keeps the bulb in place and out of your way. First disconnect the wire from the socket. To open the clasp, I believe you push down and it will unfasten. The foglight wire maybe snug in the socket. I had to wiggle and tug, until I jarred it loose. I found it much easier to get at both foglight compartments when I took off the front tires.
