96 Cd Changer Problems - Please Help!

My unit worked perfectly until yesterday when I went to turn it on and I get an ERR displayed on the head unit. The CD tries to load (I've listened to it load in the trunk) and the CD spins but then stops as if it can't be read. It is every CD and I've tried new CD's and CD-R's. Please help!
