Satchel Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 A friend said I should always turn off the A/C before turning off the car, as the life of the A/C system will be shortened if I leave it on during the process of starting the car. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Should I worry about turning off the A/C before I turn of the key? thanks Satchel
SKperformance Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 Turning the ac off before you turn the car off atleast 5 mintues before if bareable is a good idea to keep mould build up from moisture collecting and growing on the condensor. Having the a/c runnign at start ,i can;t see a problem with it as the engine is cold and so is the system which won;t start for a few second before cylcing off and on.
GRAND_LS 4 Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 I ALWAYS turn it off before shutting off the engine :D
